Richard Peurifoy

Thank you for visiting Richard's Caring Bridge site.  

Richard went in for a routine exam after experiencing blurry vision and some hip pain. A MRI was performed and revealed multiple cancerous spots on the brain and one spot on his hip. Richard has been through several rounds of radiation and one attempt at chemotherapy.  He is now recovering at home and receiving hospice care.


Richard is the Chief Systems Engineer for Texas A&M Information Technology.  He first came to A&M in 1972 to study electrical engineering but found computer science to be more interesting.  His sophomore year he started working for A&M as a student worker. He graduated in 1976 and began his professional career. Richard is in his 43rd year of service at A&M and is the goto guru for all things mainframe related.
