Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting

As some of you know, Richard lost Lorrie a month ago and has been doing a downhill slide himself since.  He had called Joann the week after the funeral to come and get him, while staying with her complained of left arm pain and shortness of breath, she took him to the VA Hospital down here in the Twin Cities where we found out that he was suffering from Congestive heart failure, a "weak heart" which they are not able to do anything to help him with. And as if that isn't enough he has been diagnosed with dementia and adjustment disorder with anxiety. With that being said he is not the big brother I remember, occasionally we see a glimpse of him but it is coming farther and farther apart. He was able to get into a VA facility in Hopkins, Hopkins Health Services, they are working with him and us as he slips further away from reality. We have good support from the hospice team as well as the staff , but Joann, Dean, LeeAnn and Jessica and myself could use the kind words and prayers moving forward.
