Richard Espinoza

Richard had been noticing visual changes last weekend. It was a full weekend with 3 Memorial services to attend. By Monday he began to have double vision so I picked him up at school to go to the ER. Our usual hospital is Portland Providence. But apparently God didn’t want me to take him there on Monday afternoon. Traffic on 205 was at a standstill, so I turned around and we came to St. Vincent. I also had a thought that this was where we were supposed to be for Rich. They have excellent neurosurgeons as experienced by 3 of our close friends. And we have been reassured by every encounter here thus far.

So, here we are in God’s hands , expecting a brain biopsy this Friday the 13th. It’s an unusual tumor, in a difficult space, attached to the optic nerve. Our prayer request would be for a very clear diagnosis, preferably not a return of Lymphoma, and Rich’s vision remain intact.

Our hearts are calm, we appreciate all the outpouring of love and prayers already. To our Horizon family, Mr. Espinoza would rather be there to torment you all. To Community of Faith “we've got this”. and "He's got this!" To family and friends , we love you.
