Ric was diagnosed with Myelodysplasia Syndrome in August of 2016. This disease is rare and not everyone is a candidate for a bone marrow transplant.   Ric is a candidate because of his general good health other than the MDS.    He has been receiving Vidaza chemo for the past 5 months.  
The last bone marrow biopsy  shows that the Vidaza has stopped working.  
The doctors say that the time has come to prepare for the bone 
marrow transplant.  


This site is a way for me to keep a journal of all that is going on with Ric and our family during this busy time.   Please ask questions or post any messages you feel like sharing.
