Aloha everyone, Many of you know that Richard “Ricardo” was diagnosed with Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML) last August. He was told that this is the kind of cancer to get because “it’s treatable and you just need to take a pill a day for the rest of your life.” However at the end of August 2018 in his monthly blood work there was a different type of mutation which resulted in a bone marrow aspiration. Richard is no longer in the chronic phase of CML, has bypassed the accelerated stage, and is in the blastic stage. He now has acute leukemia and has started chemotherapy. Please keep Richard and Arlene in your thoughts, prayers and intentions. He is a fighter and is optimistic but can always use your words of encouragement at this time! We love you all, Richard, Arlene, Dan, and Jesse
