Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement.
It was discovered that I had Invasive Triple-Negative Breast Cancer on my right side in February 2014. Chemotherapy was administered until August 1, 2014. A unilateral right-sided mastectomy was performed and months of physical therapy and nerve blocks followed. I was technically in remission until New Year's Eve 2016. A recurrence of cancer was noted when liquid taken off of my lung was analyzed. I was having some trouble breathing during the month of December and it eventually became unbearable. Over 3 liters of fluid was removed from the lining of my right lung and 2-3 suspicious spots inside the right lung were flagged. Treatment options were presented and within 2 days of leaving the hospital a medi-port was surgically implanted and then chemotherapy was started at the Lancaster Cancer Center (Lancaster, PA). The cancer stage is now considered to be Stage 4-- incurable however treatable. This site is intended to keep all of my friends and family updated on my condition. This cancer journey has shown me love in various forms and from far-reaching places from all over this world that I never knew were possible. I am trying to remain optimistic and pray that this next chapter will be used to honor The Highest Good possible. Thank you for visiting and honoring me and my family with your time, thoughts, intentions and love!
