In the beginning...

Funny how those words have always conjured up images of creativity and newness but today they mark a different beginning. I am in the beginning of facing down a disease that many fear - cancer! I am choosing to embrace all of the emotional and physical ups and downs that one must go through during such a difficult diagnosis but at the same time I am refusing to give into the temptation that I am impotent in the fight! 

This website is a way for me to stay true to this resolve. I will share my thoughts, struggles and musings as I experience all of the vulnerabilities that go along with healing and I hope that you will share words of encouragement, pictures of your families and our fun together, as well as your musings and wisdom. 

This does not have to be a time of fear, chaos and uncertainty for any of us! Let us have the kind of creativity and power that God displayed when the love and energy of the universe was harnessed to create an incredible place of habitation for a divinely embodied humanity. Together, we can create a space of love, power, and hope where cancer is not welcome!
