Teresa is one of the strongest women I know. Add to that, she is also one of the most generous, compassionate, and loving people I know. Makes for a pretty incredible combination for anyone blessed to be a part of her life. It seems almost deja-vu-esque to be creating a Caring Bridge page for her. In fact, I have subconsciously put it off because it just seems so surreal. Just a few years ago, she created and diligently kept up to date a site just like this for her daughter, Sarah. She wears many, many hats. She is a devoted wife to Brett, loving mother to son, Austin, daughter, Sarah, and daughter-in-law, Carley. Dare I say her favorite hat is that she is the most wonderful ReRe to 4 grandchildren: Addison (8), Dossett (6), Anna Massey (3), and Asher (1).  She is a sister, a daughter, a friend, and a brilliant support to anyone in need. We are praying and trusting in the Great Physician that at the end of this journey she will add "cancer survivor" to her rack of hats.

On Tuesday, September 6, 2016, our lives turned upside down. Teresa was diagnosed with cancer. It is not staged as of yet and we do not know where it originated, but we know that it is cancer. What she thought was going to be her gallbladder needing to be removed proved to be a tumor on her liver that was biopsied and proved carcinoid. We, like you, still have so many unanswered questions and I will do my best to diligently update this site with the latest information. Teresa and Brett are seeking treatment in Tulsa, OK at the renowned Cancer Treatment Center of America and she will begin chemo soon. I will update here as I know more.

Please keep Teresa, Brett, and family in your prayers. We covet them and we feel them all.
