Renee Alford Renee’s Brain

I just realized my story was missing. For those of you who have not heard and to give you the story from the "horse's mouth," I thought I'd write out the account.  I was in nursing school and during class on February 12th, I suffered a seizure and woke up in an ambulance on the way to the ER. I was diagnosed with a Grade IV Astrocytoma, formerly known as Glioblastoma and given 1.5-2 years to live. The tumor was surgically removed on February 14th. As you can see in the journal section, I've tried to keep my status available in the most transparent way I can. I've never been much good at reaching out for help  or letting my guard down, and so I'm trying to let each of you know how much I need you. You have all been beautiful in your support and show of love with prayers and positive thoughts and for that I am eternally grateful!
