Regina was diagnosed with stage 4 stomach, liver and lymph node cancer in August, 2017.  Her strength has been incredible in this fight and has beaten all odds with her initial diagnosis.  Unfortunately, after 17 months of chemo and all of the nasty side effects,  the cancer is taking over.  Her will to live is very strong but the diagnosis is not.  She has become very thin and weak in nature but rallies with visitors, letters, and texts thus far.   She enjoys reminiscing and can still tell a good story.  Please send your prayers, thoughts, and stories to her.  Our family is grateful for your prayers.  


This past Tuesday,  she was given the sad news that there are no other chemo treatments to try and she was given 1-4 months.  Several of us were with her to comfort and love on her.  That same day, her almost 12 year old, beloved Great Dane, Murphy,  had to be laid to rest.  Ironically, he had stomach cancer too and it ruptured his spleen.  


Regina the Warrior!!!  We've made a prayer/appreciation flag for her and here are some comments from our family:  best cooking master, the fun aunt, fashionista, comedian, encouraging, beautiful, generous, loving, personable, talented, best Lorenz laugh, quirky dance moves, color coordinating outfits, amazing singer, funniest one liners, caring, smart, wonderful baker and more...I'm sure if you know her, you can add your own and/or agree with the above.
