Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Here is Reese’s story, from mom’s POV:

One of our sons, Reese (age 22), has a seizure disorder AKA EPILEPSY. It is OK to say it out loud (1 in 26 has a seizure disorder). He also has a college degree (major Econ and minor German), is an accomplished piano player, competitive swimmer, rock climber, skier, photographer and well a pretty cool dude. We have been in this world for going on 6 years. After numerous tests and late night researching and advocating for him, we were able to get him into Mayo Clinic in Rochester MN in September for a concentrated week of tests and consults. We are terrified and thrilled to report he qualifies for brain surgery (a right temporal lobe resection/craniotomy) to hopefully cure the seizures, due to a meningoencephalocele. This a a major surgery. It is scheduled for Nov 8. He will be in hospital 3-5 days and we will be at Mayo for 10 (?) days. We will need support in a number of areas (I am just learning Caring Bridge; see some other area for our needs list???). We are enormously thankful we have this opportunity and equal measure terrified and appreciate any support/prayers/assistance/well wishes you can offer. I will be posting, as time allows, updates as well as our task list and needs if anyone has time/desire to check off. Thank you!!
