Rebecca Farrells

Monday, January 9th.
We want to thank all of you for your prayers and thoughts. She has been encouraged by your kindness and well wishes. As of last week, she was considering whole brain radiation. Over the weekend, Rebecca has gotten weaker. The radiologist said that she was too weak for treatments and would have to go into the hospital. Rebecca has already determined that she prefers hospice.

We have been experiencing 80mph winds and the electricity went out completely. The nurse from hospice was there. We had decided to take Rebecca into Pueblo by ambulance to stay in a motel. The EMS said that they can only transport patients to a medical facility.

Earlier in the day, the hospice home was full. As an answer to prayer, just before we left, a person went to a nursing home and a place opened. Rebecca is resting comfortably at the Pueblo hospice home, with lots of wonderful care. AND, her kitten Angel is staying here too!

Rebecca was made comfortable over the evening. However, she declined rapidly. By 10:45am it became evident that she didn't have long to live. Heather, Destiny and Jannie were here as well as Pastor Greg several very close friends and the wonderful staff at hospice. Rebecca got to talk on the phone to Chad and Bethany. She passed very peacefully at 1:50pm surrounded by much love and angels watching over her.

Funeral arrangements will be posted when they have been made. Once again, thank you for your prayers. God's perfect plan has been evident throughout. Rebecca said, " I'm looking forward to the next stage. Tell them not to cry, laugh with me."
