Welcome to Ray's CaringBridge website. I've created it to keep friends and family updated about this journey.  I've added a quick background story so folks can understand what has happened and how quickly it all occurred. Read that by going to the first journal entry.

Visit often to read the latest journal entries, visit the photo gallery, and write us a note in our guestbook.

Thank you for all of your thoughts and prayers.

First, many thanks for all of your warm wishes, support and prayers.  If "Love Heals" then we are well on the road towards recovery!  I have been attempting to keep most updated via facebook, texts or other communication methods and finally decided this would be easier.

Second, while Ray is not able to navigate facebook he is able to read the posts if I put him on the page... so on 5/5 he read the birthday greetings on my page, his page and Lauren's page along with the Birthday and Get Well cards he received in the mail.  Again, many thanks!

The background - trip to Boston on 4/14 to see Lauren's college softball team play BC.  Disoriented and confused.  Returned home on 4/15, tired.  ER on 4/16 - brain mass on CT Scan.  Transported him to Jefferson for removal on 4/18.  Next step chemo and radiation.  I'm not going to put the specific names/type of tumor and prognosis as I'm sure everyone knows someone who had it, has it or knows someone else and to be honest the doctors say that each person responds to treatment differently.  Our goal is to use the chemo and radiation to eliminate any remaining cells, medically manage the tumor as hard as it can be managed and go from there.

Please feel free to keep in touch.  Stop by or call (I'll answer the phone if we aren't busy or I will call you back). Feel free to leave comments here if you want. Do not feel awkward asking questions (if I know the answers I will share).  For those that know us we are not 'dramatic people' so I will share facts, moments and updates best I can to allow those that care for Ray to know what is going on.

We wish you all well and again many thanks for your prayers, support and positive energy.  We are truly blessed to have all of you in our lives!
