Ray's Story

Without going into excruciating detail, here is Ray’s story.

One year ago Ray was diagnosed with 2 types of cancer; lymphoma and bladder cancer.

Believing one was scarier than the other, doctors chose to fight only one at a time. They were hoping the treatment given would combat (control) and or at least contain the secondary issue.

Sadly, it did not. While the lymphoma was dealt with, the bladder cancer spread to Ray’s bones causing excruciating pain, which doctors found difficult to manage.

Subsequently, the suffering and pain levels left little option for Ray but to enter Hospice care. The angels at hospice are working diligently to get him to a comfortable place where he can be as pain-free as possible.

Ray is currently residing at Hospice House in Port Charlotte, The family is respectfully asking for privacy. We understand that we all feel like Donna and Ray’s family, but would appreciate no visitors other than true immediate family.

This is their time to spend with Ray in as intimate, quiet and cherished way. They know you care and love them deeply. Cards, letters and of course prayers will be treasured but would rather NOT receive calls, texts or emails that they feel they must respond to as this would only add to their burden.

We know you understand, we know you love us, and support us through this time.

Thank you for all of your love and prayers

Please check back at this page for updates. I will post as often as I feel I can.   Many blessings to you all, We love you.
