Ray Fentress

Ray suffered a hemorrhagic stroke on Sunday, August 6 th. He was released from the hospital on Tuesday afternoon. As a result of the stroke, Ray has some expressive aphasia. We will know more about the degree of aphasia and the prognosis when he is evaluated August 22nd. He is currently unable to work and we'll know more about a return to work date once he begins speech therapy.

Scott was able to be with Lynn and Ray on Sunday and stayed until Wednesday. Maria arrived Monday night and left on Tuesday. Cam and Wanda arrived Monday night and will leave on Saturday.

Ray will have another MRI in 5 weeks to see how he's progressing from the onset of the stroke. He will also have a follow up neurologist 's appointment in 6 to 8 weeks.

Lynn has been driving the last two days as Ray is unable to drive at the moment. Ray has been  very sweet about her driving and has thanked her and told her how much he appreciated what she's doing.

Ray's attitude is fantastic. He's accepting with grace his current limitations and is even able to laugh at his situation. There are moments of frustration as you might well imagine.

Lynn will continue to keep you informed as to how Ray progresses through this website.
