About 5 years ago Dad was not feeling good and after some test we found out Dad had stage 4 Prostate cancer. It had also spread to his bladder, causing all of his problems.

 Dad decided to treat it and started visiting doctors at Scripps in California and it looked like it was all under control.

 This last year has been a tough one. Starting in January Dad was sent to the hospital with an infection in his foot, after 4 weeks he was transfered to Scripps where they amputated his big toe. During the surgery his heart stopped and coded. The Doctors were able to bring him back, he spent a week in ICU, he lost 5 units of blood. After 4 months in the Hospital he came back home and was on the road to recovery.

 In August he was hospitalized again with an infection and being very weak.

  Because of Dad being very weak, he could not continue his Chemo.

 On September 5th Mom and Dad celebrated 54 years of marriage and on Monday September 10th Dad was so weak he could not get out of bed.

 We called in Hospice of Yuma on Tuesday to help with his care and make him comfortable.

 Dad was a friend to everyone and would love to hear from you.

 I will post updates when things change

Blessed are all who fear the Lord,
    who walk in obedience to him.
2 You will eat the fruit of your labor;
    blessings and prosperity will be yours.
3 Your wife will be like a fruitful vine
    within your house;
your children will be like olive shoots
    around your table.
4 Yes, this will be the blessing
    for the man who fears the Lord. 5 May the Lord bless you from Zion;
    may you see the prosperity of Jerusalem
    all the days of your life.
6 May you live to see your children’s children—
    peace be on Israel.

Psalm 128
