Ranise Meredith Ranise’s Cancer fight!

Hey y’all! So I have been trying to figure out how to tell y’all about my cancer diagnosis without going into “TMI” area. So just know that if I venture into TMI area ooops sorry 😊.

In late September 2021 I woke up just not feeling right. I had a funny pain in my lower right abdomen which I thought was my appendix so I canceled work and went to the ER. After a CT scan at the ER. The ER Dr. Told me there was a mass in my colon and possibly from what they could see It looked like cancer on the outside of my colon. I left the ER and called my primary dr about who to go to for a colonoscopy. She was awesome even called Dr Jones for the colonoscopy and got me in two weeks later than after meeting with that Dr Jones scheduled me the following week for the colonoscopy. 4 days later Dr jones called and confirmed on Oct. 19 2021 (Robert and I 19 year wedding anniversary.) I had a 90% mass blockage in my large intestine and a second smaller cancerous mass alittle further down my colon. After that diagnoses I went and had a PET scan and it showed that I had cancer on my right ovary, both ends of my liver (not the middle) on my right kidney, and the outer layer of my colon. It is ALL colon cancer (which doesn’t run in my family I am the first!) just to clarify because it was on my liver, kidney and ovary they did a biopsy of my liver so that we knew it’s wasn’t liver, ovarian or kidney cancer. So far It has all come back with colon cancer markers. So time will tell.
