Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Hi family and friends! Thank you for being with us on this journey. On December 29th Randy was diagnosed with a mass on his brain. He was taken to Memorial Herman Hospital where on January 7th he had surgery to remove the tumor. The tumor was cancerous and the surgeon was able to remove most of it. It was a glioblastoma and had been growing for three months. These tumors are the most common and the most aggressive. The surgeon did an excellent job and his recovery from surgery was amazing!

After about 3 weeks he started treatment which involves radiation and chemotherapy. The radiation is five times a week for six weeks and the chemo is in a pill form and he takes that daily.

He is also involved in the Trident trial which involves wearing a cap on his head that sends electric currents into his brain. The currents don’t kill the cancer cells but they keep them from multiplying. He will begin wearing that after he has completed radiation.

The care Randy is receiving is great which is such a blessing.

This has all been a big shock but we are very blessed to have the love, support and prayers from so many family members and friends. We could not do this without you all! ❤️
