Randy Ulery Randy’s Next Marathon

Welcome to Randy’s Next Marathon. For those of you who don’t know me let me introduce myself. My name is Mary and I am Randy’s wife of 40 years (in 7 more days). I will be the primary author or perhaps I should say commentator of this marathon. If you're visiting it's likely you already know Randy has recently been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Why the marathon theme you may wonder? Did you know Randy runs a marathon, 26.2 miles every year on his birthday for fun?! 🏃🏻 When he turned 50 he ran 50 miles. Moreover he has ran 🏃🏻 cycled 🚲 and swam 🏊‍♂️ countless distances as an accomplished triathlete. He even completed a ½ Iron Man. He’s the greatest champion of our family. When he reads this you can be sure he’ll do his best ‘Tim the tool man’ grunt from the 1990’s sitcom Home Improvement. 😊When you combine the strength and stamina he’s mustered to be a successful endurance athlete and add his amazing problem solving skills and genuine wit Randy WILL cross the finish line of this most challenging marathon. I recently used CaringBridge to successfully blog my own breast cancer journey. I can attest the power of support nourishes the soul and soothes the pain like a healing balm.
