Randy was diagnosed with end stage liver disease in late August 2017 and has struggled physically the last two years while waiting approval into the donor transplant program and then subsequently in finding a live donor.
When none of his sons were a viable match Scott Kleindl, a family friend, volunteered to be tested and was determined to be a successful donor match. The transplant surgery is scheduled for Wednesday, June 19th at the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis MN.
They would also appreciate all of your caring thoughts and prayers. Medicine is amazing, but the power of prayer cannot be overstated. Thank you so much for your support during this difficult time.
