Our lives changed in February of 2016.  Ralph was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer and was given 18-24 months.  We started a long and difficult journey.  The doctors ordered a very aggressive chemo treatment, so aggressive he could only have six treatments.  These six treatments have caused Ralph to lose his hair, develop Neuropathy in both his hands and feet, and lose ALOT of weight.  during one of the last treatments it caused his blood counts to drop so low we had to go to the hospital everyday for infusions to help build his White Blood Counts back up.  Because his cancer is in the lungs and in the rib bones, Ralph is in constant pain.  He did have radiation for 10 days to help with a particular area on the back of his ribs.   After the 6 treatments were over they put Ralph on a maintenance chemo.  It was to try and slow down the growth of any new cancer cells.  He has had three of these treatments so far.
