Our sweet baby Rafael "Rafa" was born 3 months early. A month after his birth he became extremely ill with a disease called NEC that nearly took his life, but then...the Lord showed his power! Through the wisdom of doctors but also through the incredible praying power of the people of God who rallied around him our sweet Rafa survived the disease and the two emergency surgeries. Rafa is recovering from the surgeries and starting his journey to live with just 10cm of intestines. This leads to an issue called Short Gut Syndrome. This will require years of treatment and potential surgeries. His survival from the illness and surgeries is not the last miracle we will need... but we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us!!
