Late February 2017, my son Michael was diagnosed with desmoplastic sarcoma (we had hoped for lymphoma). Desmoplastic sarcoma is one of the rarest of all cancers. The way his oncologist explained it to us, sarcoma cancers are 1% of ALL cancers and desmoplastic is 1% of all sarcoma cancers, 1% of 1%. He initially responded well to the aggressive treatment given, but we found out in August that he has relapsed. The still more aggressive treatment he is being given now has not been confirmed successful yet. 


From the beginning I have been his caregiver, always with love, hope and laughter, I would not have been able to do any of it without the help of my family, specially my sister Aurora, brother-in-law, Gabe and my brothers Marino & Oscar. Unfortunately,  I have reached a point where my hope has dwindled, not because he's deteriorating, but because my soul is tired. Please help me restore my soul. Those of you that know Michael, please share, with me, your memories, what you like best, what makes you laugh and giggle when you think of Michael. Those of you that don't, please help me regain my hope.
