Rachel age 15, was diagnosed with Stage 2 Hodgkin's Lymphoma on June 21st of this year.   This has been very hard hitting and has been taking a toll on her.   Her first bout with Chemo (which required a 4 day stay at Children's hospital) went okay.   One week later her temperature got up to 100.7, per her Oncologist if it ever gets to 100.4 she needs to be on her way to the ER, well that just where we went and she was admitted to the hospital.  Her Jaw also swelled up and she could not open her mount or speak let alone eat for 3 days, she was put on antibiotics  then her knee started to swell where she could not even get up to go to the bathroom, the doctors seemed mifted over this and she had 3 different antibiotics going in her.  The next day they decided to check the fluid around her knee but that meant sticking a needle in her and pulling out the fluid ALL done without Anastasia probably one of the most painful things to watch your daughter go through.   Each day she slowly started to pull through.  She spent 7 days in the hospital.  When she did get to come home, sadly one day home she had to go back to the hospital and be admitted.  So needless to say the first round of Chemo was a rough start.   She recently went in for her 3 day stay to receive her 2nd Round of Chemo and she is home doing well.  We pray often and try to stay positive during this.  I will update often!
