A naturally planned and organized person, this past June I had my family’s bags all packed and ready for our summer trip. Well as the saying goes, “you have plans and then you have life.” Little did I know we would be going on a trip none of us planned for. A quick routine doctor visit before leaving for vacation led me from one appointment to the next, a shocking diagnosis of Stage 4 colon cancer and ultimately a huge village of loved ones helping and lifting me up on this journey called life. Here we are, day by day, minute by minute, savoring each and every blessing with gratitude. Here I am, alongside God and my village, fueled with faith, hope, and love. We are giving this fight against Cancer everything we’ve got! To my village... thank you. I love you. Let’s do this!
