On January 15th, 2017 I was diagnosed with cerebrospinal fluid leakage (CSF) also known as herniated brain due to a skull defect. I will have two separate surgeries to repair with a craniotomy. I have a team of four neurosurgeons at MUSC in Charleston, South Carolina performing each operation. I have along road of recovery ahead of me but with God, My Guardian Angels, The Neurosurgeons and My Sweet Family and Friends they'll help me stay strong and will get through this with my strong Christian faith and loving family.
Brain Surgery phase 1 is confirmed for February 14. I will have repair surgery for Cerebrospinal Fluid Leakage with craniotomy and there will be two parts to my surgeries. I will be admitted for 7-14 days. Recovery is 6-8 weeks. Please keep myself and my family in your thoughts and prayers today and during this difficult time. It's hard taking everything in all at once, especially having do the power of attorney paperwork. Thanks kindly.
