Rachel went into the ER in July of 2017 for what appeared to be a gall bladder infection. What doctors discovered over the course of a few days, however, was a three inch mass in her liver which was affecting liver function. Further tests revealed other smaller lesions in the liver and lymph nodes, and the presence of cholangiocarcinoma (bile duct cancer). Upon diagnosis, Jim and Rachel were told that the tumor is inoperable, and that liver transplant is not an option.
We are walking day by day in the love, grace, and hope given to us in Jesus. We continue to pray for healing for Rachel, trusting always in the promise that God is good and wise in all He does. And so we rest in the Sovereign One who has promised to never leave us or forsake us.
Rachel and Jim have four children: Alina (10), Nathaniel (8), Naomi (5), and Clara (4). They live in Lino Lakes.
