Welcome to our CaringBridge website dedicated to Rachel Blanco. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. As most of you know, Rachel was diagnosed with Pulmonary Fibrosis many years ago. Over time, the scarring in her lungs got worse, and it became difficult for her to breath. There is no cure for PF and the only option was a double lung transplant. The good news is that Rachel received a call on January 22, 2021, stating she was on the transplant list. She has worked extremely hard to get on that list. On January 27, 2021, Rachel received the call from UCLA and she underwent a double lung transplant the following day. She is now on the road to recovery. Your kind words, support and prayers will be tremendously appreciated by Rachel and family. Thank you for visiting.
