Qyshon Williams Qyshon's Journey

First post: Nov 1, 2016 Latest post: Dec 14, 2016
Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

As many of you are aware, Qyshon has suffered from epilepsy for most of his young life. We have trailed many, many medications, endured numerous hospitalizations, had a Vagus Nerve Stimulator placed and yet have seen his seizure activity increase.  In Qyshon's 15 years, he has been through more medically, than most go through in a lifetime.
Because of that, and our desire to pursue all reasonable therapeutic options, we have opted to have Qyshon undergo a brain surgery, corpus callosotomy. The surgery will take place on Friday, November 4, 2016 @ Children's National Medical Center in Washington, DC.
Qyshon is expected to be in the hospital for approximately 1 week and then will have a several weeks of recovery (possibly in an acute rehab setting.)

We are asking for your prayers during this time.

Additionally, we have set up a gofundme account to help offset costs.  //www.gofundme.com/Qyshon
