On November 5th I was bit by a dog on my foot. The bite wasn't just a puncture or two, it was several large lacerations. I was brought to the Emergency Room where I was informed that I would be having emergency surgery. My open wounds were irrigated and cleaned and I was whisked away to the Operating Room. My surgery lasted about 3 hours. I was then taken to my room at Abrazo Scottsdale Campus where I would stay for the next couple days. I was in the hospital for 2 days of recovery in which I was taken very good care of by the staff considering I was still in a great deal of pain. 

I was released from the hospital on November 7th with several restrictions for a speedy recovery. My Doctor informed me that I couldn't put any weight on my foot for an undetermined amount of time to do the location of the stitches. This meant that I had to take a leave of absence from work and remain on crutches. I didn't like this! I didn't like it for several reasons. Taking time off of work meant that my bills would start piling up and I would get bored easily since I can't even shoot pool! ;(  I have worked so hard at trying to build my life in Arizona and this just through a wrench in my progress.
