Thanks for joining Pierce's Pack!  If you're here, it's because you know Pierce is going through a lot right now.  He appreciates all your love and support so much!

For those of you who might not know Pierce's story and want to know more, here's how we got to this place...

Pierce was born July 17th, 2016 in Pleasanton, CA.  He's been nothing but a happy, healthy, fun, smart son, brother, friend, student, athlete, grandson, nephew and kid.  Never the biggest person in the room, he always fills it up with his awesome personality.  Simply put, he's a person you want to be around.

On Thursday, July 21st Pierce woke up in the middle of the night with pretty severe back pain.  He was four days into a golf camp, so we figured he tweaked something and it would resolve itself soon enough.  About a week later the pain in the middle of the night came back.  Then it came back the next night and the next.  Enough was enough, Saturday, August 5th, we took him to pediatric urgent care in Dublin for an x-ray.  The x-ray showed no signs of bone damage.  The next day two new symptoms popped up.  Fever and fatigue.  Now we needed answers.

On Tuesday, August 2nd, 12 days after his initial symptoms, we found the answers that would change his and our lives forever.  Meredith brought him to pediatric urgent care again where they ran blood tests.  When the tests came back we were told they showed a strong indication of cancer in the blood.  We immediately took him to Stanford's pediatric ER where more blood was drawn to confirm what was initially seen.  We were told Pierce has Leukemia and that they'd be admitting him to Lucille-Packard Stanford Children's Hospital.

So here we are.  On Caring Bridge asking all of you to love and pray for Pierce to give him the strength to get through this.  He's a tough kid.  He's the kid that falls off the bike and gets right back on it.

With your help, he'll be falling off bikes again in no time!
