At friends' suggestions, I've just joined CaringBridge website.   Earlier in September 2016, I learned, through a rather routine colonoscopy, that I have Mantle Cell Lymphoma which was discovered in the IleoCecal Valve and the large intestine.  A week afterwards I suffered a left-side embolic stroke...a series of mini-strokes...and was rushed to St. Francis Hospital in CT.  This was also my hospital of choice for cancer treatments.  I went through rigorous PT at an affiliated rehabilitation hospital, Mt. Sinai, also in Hartford.  Tomorrow, 10/10/16, I begin the first of two to three day chemotherapy sessions to last six months to push back at this Stage 4 lymphoma.  My spirits are up, buoyed by the three F's...Faith, Family, and Friends, and my own military background.
