Phil Harris

In the early morning hours of Friday, June 24, our beloved Phil suffered a serious stroke. He was taken to Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, one of the top-ranked hospitals for neurology and neurosurgery, where he has been receiving excellent care ever since.  Upon arrival, the medical team performed emergency EVD (External Ventricular Drain) surgery. This surgery was to relieve pressure on the brain and begin a drain of fluid. Phil has never been alone, as family and friends have constantly been by his side. The outpouring of love and support that the family is experiencing is powerful, and we ask that you continue to keep Phil in your prayers. This is seemingly now a marathon and not a sprint.

While we continue to pray for healing and guidance, we offer our thanks to all of you who love and support Phil. As you think of him, please do something in his honor: play some golf, listen to the Ohio State fight-song, buy some antiques, and make someone laugh.

We will continue to update this page on Phil's condition. We ask for your patience and to refer to this page for updates.

With love,

-The Harris Family
