Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting and please ignore the request for donations as we are using this as a communication tool only.

As Phil was getting ready to start the 20th anniversary of the Sturdivant Island Tuna Tournament in early August, he had a bad pain in his side and went to the hospital to get it checked out.  After a few tests, it was discovered that he had Stage 4 pancreatic cancer right after he returned from his trip to Alaska.  Luckily, the cancer is in the tail of the pancreas so it decreases the amount of pain he experiences.  The bad news is that the cancer stayed hidden until it limited the treatment options available.  Dad has started chemotherapy, but a bad infection has put him in the hospital so we will see how that affects future treatments.

We'll use this site to keep you posted on where he is, how he is feeling, and thanks for your love and support!
