On Wednesday August 10 during a day of swimming with the family at the cabin we noticed a unusual lump on Peyton's neck. We suspected it was related to swollen lymph nodes so to understand the unusual lump over the next couple of days he completed a whirlwind of doctor's appointments and imaging scans to help assess his situation. The imaging scans showed enlarged lymph nodes on both sides of his neck and also in his chest. We determined a biopsy was needed to help understand the enlarged nodes. Peyton had a biopsy surgery done at Children's Hospital in Minneapolis on Wednesday August 17 where they removed a lymph node from his neck to complete testing on. Unfortunately 6 hours after arriving home from his outpatient biopsy procedure we had to return to the hospital ER with Peyton for what turned out to be a viral infection. Peyton was then admitted to the PICU at Children's Hospital where he is recovering from both his biopsy procedure and from the viral infection.
