Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Trina was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis in 2016. Her lung function has been a steady decline since. She worked to lose 80 pounds over the course of 2 years to meet the requirements of a lung transplant, but was unfortunately turned down by the transplant team in December 2018. We are planning on applying to a different transplant center. Her arthritis that has caused severe pain in her hips has caused a lot of challenges to her exercise regimen to keep fit for a transplant.

On Tuesday April 30th, she began to cough up blood and was taken by ambulance to St Francis Hospital, where she remains. She has been sedated and has been breathing with the help of a breathing machine. There is an infection in her lungs which is being fought with antibiotics. The doctors and nurses are working to find the source of the bleed and to be able to stop it. We are waiting for a Broncoscopy to happen today May 2nd, to see how much bleeding there still may be.

Thank you for all of your prayers, love, and support. We all appreciate it.
