Peter Mariades

First post: May 8, 2018 Latest post: Sep 11, 2019
As many of you already know, Peter was diagnosed on April 18th (2018) with multiple myeloma, a cancer of plasma cells in the bone marrow. This diagnosis was a shock and devastating to Peter, his wife, Helena, family and friends.

Peter is the Chaplain and Director of Pastoral Care at Jupiter Medical Center in Jupiter, Florida.  He has dedicated his life to serving the spiritual and emotional needs of those who are suffering and facing life and death decisions in their families.  He is beloved by all of the physicians and staff at Jupiter Medical Center.

This cancer, however, will force him to stop working for six months to a year as he will undergo kyphoplasty to support bones that fractured due to the cancer, 4-6 months of chemotherapy and a stem cell transplant at a major hospital cancer center.

Helena has and will continue to care for Peter at their home or at the hospital, but this naturally interferes with her ability to work full time as a pastoral counselor. The costs of the illness are beyond their income and savings.

For those of you who have requested information on how you can help us, please go to: http://www.gofundme.com/med-living-exp-for-peter-mariades.

All donations made to Caring Bridge DO NOT go to Peter. They go directly towards the cost of running their site.

Please leave a message for Peter, and sign in or return to this site for prayer requests and frequent updates.

God Bless you for your concerns, love and prayers!
