Peter Leblond Okemo "Tumble" Update

First post: Jan 20, 2019 Latest post: Oct 23, 2019
Peter was doing what he loves most on 1/15, skiing at Okemo in Vermont and having a blast. About 6-8 runs in he caught an edge and some air at a high-rate of speed, spinning him around in the air. His his left ski came off, the right one didn’t. When he came back down, the tail of his right ski hit the ground first, twisting his leg, breaking his Tibia in multiple places.

Just a few hours earlier his parents (Carolyn & Nick) were elated that Peter had taken a couple days off work to drive up & surprise them for some family skiing. Skiing is a deep rooted family pastime - he has grown up with the sport and loves every run (he could likely ski before he could walk).

One minute he was enjoying the slight air he would catch from the drifts made by snowmaking machines on a beautiful run. The next he was in pretty severe pain on the hill waiting for what would become a wake up “reality journey” for all of us.
