Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of encouragement. As many of you know, Peter underwent a multi-organ transplant at Georgetown University Hospital on November 3. The family is thrilled to report that it went well, but there is a long, long recovery ahead. Peter is still in the hospital but walking around, able to drink liquids, and befriending all the staff. ;) Karen has been staying by Peter's side, and the kids have been back and forth, and will be up for Thanksgiving. Happy news is that the family has been lent a wonderful, nearby apartment by some friends, where Peter can stay after he is released from the hospital.

To those who contributed via the YouCaring website, thank you so much. Meals will start to be delivered three times a week after Thanksgiving to the kids and the grandparents caring for them, and to the whole family once Peter and Karen return home.
