Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.
Rev. Dr. Peter Garth fell ill on Thursday, May 5, 2022. His symptoms worsened on the night of Sunday, May 8, 2022 into the morning of Monday, May 9, 2022. He experienced high fever and severe body pains which created some challenges with his mobility. His dear wife, Flora, assisted him in every way she could. Upon the advice of the family's physicians, the decision was made for Rev. Garth to be admitted to hospital to receive more focused professional medical care on Tuesday, May 10, 2022. He was admitted into the Tony Thwaites wing of The University of The West Indies Hospital located in Mona, Kingston, Jamaica, where he is receiving the best care possible.
We ask that you keep Rev. Dr. Peter Garth, his family, and those attending to him medically in your prayers. We also kindly ask that you visit this website for updates on Rev. Garth's condition as the influx of communication can become overwhelming for the Garth family, given how well known Rev. Garth is. We will provide updates here as frequently as possible, and ask that you please respect the family's wishes. We really appreciate all the love and concern. We love you all. God bless.
"Blessed is the one who considers the poor! In the day of trouble the Lord delivers him; the LORD protects him and keeps him alive; he is called blessed in the land; you do not give him up to the will of his enemies. The LORD sustains him on his sickbed; in his illness you restore him to full health." - Psalm 41: 1-3
