Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place.
As many of you know, Pete (our dad) was recently diagnosed with CMML (Chronic myelomonocytic leukemia) . CMML is a type of blood cancer in which a person's bone marrow does not make blood effectively. The only curable treatment for this cancer is a bone marrow transplant, also known as a stem cell transplant. Luckily, one of his brothers, Steve, is a 100% match. This is the best case scenario because the success rate goes up drastically with a sibling match.  Pete will begin chemo the week of April 14th and be admitted to the hospital the week of April 19th for his bone marrow transplant.  We will continue to keep this website updated with any new information regarding Pete's journey. Thank you all so much for your continued support and words of encouragement. Together we fight.

"God didn't promise days without pain, laughter without sorrow; or sun without rain, but he did promise strength for the day, comfort for the tears, and light for the way." James 5:15
