Welcome to my website. I thought this would be the best way for me to communicate with those who love and support me. My journey started with my annual check-up in February, and finding that I needed to have a diagnostic mammogram because something didn't seem quite right. The mammogram was followed by a sonogram, followed by biopsies (lots of biopsies). I can't say enough about the wonderful caring and kind folks I have encountered along the way through the Allegheny Health Network. I feel blessed to have a top notch care team. I have been diagnosed with inflammatory breast cancer, stage 3. I will begin chemotherapy treatment on Friday, March 20th. I have a years journey ahead involving chemotherapy, a radical mastectomy, and radiation. My husband and soulmate, Skip, is taking great care of me, but won't be able to do it on his own. I have a super supportive family and they are already helping, but we will need additional support along the way, and I will communicate that here on this website.
