Breast cancer has left its ugly mark on my family. My grandma lost her battle at 34. My mom was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer in 2000. I was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer in January 2018. Doctors have determined that the cancer hasn't spread to any of my vital organs. I start chemotherapy on Valentine's Day and will continue treatment every week for the next five months. Then, I'll undergo surgery to remove the cancer tumors. I'm a mom to Audrey, 5 and Alec, 3. Alec is living with a rare kidney disorder called Nephrotic Syndrome.
