Welcome to Peggy's CaringBridge website. We are using it to update family and friends about Peggy's renewed battle with cancer.
As many of you know, Peggy was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2008. After a lumpectomy, chemotherapy, and radiation, she has held the disease at bay since 2009. In December 2017, a mass was discovered behind her left eye that may be a reoccurrence of her breast cancer. However, there is some uncertainty about the origin of the tumor, and it is also possible that it is a primary site orbital tumor. As detailed in the updates below, Peggy promptly started receiving world-class care from the amazing physicians and staff at MD Anderson. Although anxious about the path ahead, she is buoyed by the love, support, and prayers of family and friends as she faces the challenges ahead.
