Paul Beason Paul's Pancreatic Cancer

First post: Mar 3, 2018
Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.
Our son, Paul, 47 years of age suddenly got sick on August 7, 2017.  On August 9, 2017, he went to after-hours clinic and was sent to ER.  After X-ray there, he was referred to a specialist.  After several tests (MRI, biopsy, etc.), he was diagnosed with Stage IV Adenocarcinoma of the Pancreas with metastasis to the liver.  He has insurance but the costs are beginning to increase on treatment.  He is going to M.D. Anderson on September 19, 2017, and is hoping to be approved for a clinical trial.  He and his wife Karen have been married 12 years and have 1 child, Jack, who turned 8 this past April.  He loves his daddy so much and knows he is really sick with something growing in his tummy and he knows it is cancer but I don't know if he fully grasps the full seriousness of the disease.

The medical bills are beginning to arrive and travel to and from M.D. Anderson is quite expensive since Paul lives in Gonzales, Louisiana.  We know there is no cure for pancreatic cancer and surgery is not an option since it has metastisized to the liver.  If you can help in any way financially, it will be much appreciated and all funds will be applied to Paul's medical expenses.

Please keep Paul, Karen, and Jack in your prayers and Thank You.
