Paul Smith

As most of you know, Paul has been having health problems for a while now. He was sent to Mayo Clinic for more tests on his heart back in March, where it was determined that he needed to have open heart surgery to replace one valve and repair or replace another valve.  His surgery is now set! He is scheduled to have open heart surgery this week, Wednesday May 23, 2018 in Rochester, MN. 



I thought this would be an easy way to try and keep everyone updated on his progress.  For the ones that don't know me, I am Julia, Paul and Betty's Daughter in law, I am married to their youngest son Travis. I will be doing my best to keep this page up to date with progress reports on Paul. He will be staying in the hospital in Rochester for about a week after surgery providing recovery goes as planned.  I will make sure that all messages left on here get to him! 



He will be leaving Monday evening, May 21, to head up to Mayo for a few pre-op tests scheduled for Tuesday.  He will be checking in for surgery on Wednesday (time not determined yet)
