Just so you’re up on the details

October 2017 I was running on a splendid fall day noticing a odd yellow blob in my vision.  That afternoon  diagnosed with a melanoma tumor in the back of my left eye    Promptly delivered to MGH ME&I in Boston for surgery and proton beam therapy.  Left with reassurances that all is good and that cancer was caught in time and to be vigilant.....but that life goes on.   Good

Fall of 2018 the routine scans revealed that cancer had metatisized and moved throughout my body specially into my liver.  Standard of care and the state of the art treatment for this was a regimen of immunotherapy.  Went into this process but after two months it was clear that my cancer was not responsive to this process    The  tumors have doubled in the last three months.

As of this note March 19 now undergoing chemo embolization at Jefferson  which has the prospect of extending life,  since any full-scale remission or cure is r statistically  and practically not possible.

I put immediate breaks on my career at Penn and I’m home resting taking care of business
