After having stomach pains that would not go away, Dad went to the ER thinking he was having a severe gall bladder attack.   On March 7, 2019,  the doctor instead diagnosed him with pancreatic cancer.  Further testing indicated that the cancer had spread to his liver, lungs and thyroid, which means he was at stage 4 of this disease.   Since that time, Dad has had 5 intense chemo treatments.   Like the champion our Dad is, his latest scan in May indicated the original tumor on his pancreas shrunk by 1/2 and his lungs and liver are now clear of cancer.    Our Mom has not left his side for a minute and continues to care for, love and support our beloved Dad,  as she has done for the last 51 years of their marriage!

My sister Susie and I decided to set up this site for Father's Day to honor our parents and share our journey with all of you who love Dad and our family.    We are grateful for an incredible support system through family, extended family, friends and co-workers, and for Dr. Frank and his team at DuPage Medical Group for providing  excellent care to our Dad.    Thank you for visiting.

Comments and well wishes are most welcome as Dad continues his battle back to health. ❤️
