Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

In early May I woke up with severe pain in my left shoulder blade.  The pain progressed and finally after Labor Day the pain got so bad I ended up getting a MRI.  It showed I had a mass at the T3 and T4 level of my upper back and it was severely pinching the spinal cord as well as 2 nerve roots.  Because of the location, there was no way to biopsy the mass to see what it was without surgery.  On Monday, October 3rd, they removed some of the bone on my spinal column and removed as much of the mass as possible given that it was wrapped around the nerve root pretty tight.  The biopsy showed that I have large B cell Lymphoma.  I will start chemotherapy on Monday, October 17th.  I will get chemo through my port one day and then within a few days will receive chemo injected into the cerebral spinal fluid via an epidural.  I will do these appointments once every 3 weeks for 6 treatments.

Someone will be updating this site on a regular basis.  Thanks again for the support and encouragement.
