Paul's story. as you know Paul has lived with a weak heart for many years but in the last year his heart took a drastic turn. We are so lucky to have a  caring Dr. who suggested a year and half ago that we develop a relationship with the Dr.s at UCSF.  Feb. 10 when Dr saw Paul he had us contact the medical and make an apt. The UCSF Dr had given me his text number so I texted him with the urgent situation, within 5 mins his scheduler called me and we had an appt. Feb 19 we were in the hospital being assessed for a transplant. In the mean time Paul has a Ventricular assist device (think Dick Cheney). This will allow Paul to get strong and in three months he will be activated on the transplant list we are thinking 6-9 months. This is not an easy time but with all your support and prayers Paul is still with us and there is life after heart failure.💔 now❤️
